Mena Alexandra (born on the 13th of February 1979) is an actress and model American-born model and actress. She began her modeling career in 1990. She soon shifted into acting, after guest appearances on television series like Boy Meets World or High Incident. Her first film appearance was on 1997's drama Nowhere. The performances she made were in American Beauty, for which she received the BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie attracted a lot of attention. In the following years, she appeared as the protagonist for the role of a protagonist in Sugar & Spice (2000) along with American Pie star Jason Biggs. Spun was a 2002 independent drama film and Trauma (2004) thrillers both featured in her career. In addition, she was a part of the HBO the drama Six Feet Under. The series was a hit in 2004 and in 2005, the Screen Actors Guild awarded her the title of one of the best cast members. In 2008 her filmography included Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, the version of The Garden of Eden and several other movies. Suvari is featured in a variety of fashion magazines and blogs as well as Vogue. Suvari is an official Lancome model and appears on ads in print in Lancome Paris Adaptive. She is an active supporter and campaigner for the African Medical and Research Foundation. She also is active on issues of female empowerment and is associated with groups that support breast cancer awareness and an End Violence Against Women Campaign.
